Samsung TV offers so many options that it is nearly impossible to look at their entire line of TVs and not be impressed. They have come a long way in the last two decades or so to become one of the premiere brands on the market today.

When considering buying a Samsung TV there are so many options to pick from that we have decided that a nice little Samsung walk-through might be in order. Samsung TVs in the plasma department offer a wide variety of options as far as price and quality goes. The “low-end” TVs are the series 4 TVs. These are all under $1,000 and feature 42″-50″ screens and 720p definition pictures. Technically this is the second generation of HDTV picture, but first in the hearts of many. In other words for the price, the picture is outstanding.

The series 8 is Samsung’s top of the line plasma TV. These monsters feature 1080p pictures, the best quality available, and a decent price tag of $2000-$4000. Sizes range from 50″ to 58″ but the picture quality goes beyond the boundaries of the screen. This series definitely emphasizes a great picture and is well worth looking into for the home theater enthusiast.

Samsung’s LED HDTVs should not be left out, their series 7 TVs are an outstanding LED value in the $2-3,000 range. This is good quality picture (1080p) for the cost. Picture size ranges from 46-55″ with a ton of extras and add-ons such as internet TV. The biggest deal with these has to be the price for the quality. I know it was mentioned before, but I get a little excited about it.

The top of the line as far as LED HDTVs that Samsung TV has to offer are the series 8 models. These are a big jump in price- on average about $1,000. I really do not see the major differences between the two. Both series 7 and series 8 have roughly the same sizes available and offer 1080p picture. Series 7 offers a contrast of 30,000,000:1 verses series 8′s 50,000,000:1 contrast. Is that contrast significant? Maybe to some, but the price significance is definitely noticeable to all.

LCD Series 3 from Samsung TV is a good value for the quality. Nearly all of this series is in 720p. Though I’m not a big LCD fan I cannot argue with the price. These TVs range in size from 19″ to 32″ and prices range from $200 to $600 depending on what size you get. For LCD this is a good bargain, something you come to expect from this product. The series 6 is- as you would expect twice as nice as the series 3. Well not really, but they are nicer. The picture quality in the series 6 is all 1080p, which is kind of nice to see on an LCD TV. The pictures sizes range from 40″ to 65″, the 65 incher is a very nice TV for the price, $6,000. Yup, that’s a six with three zeros. Still by using LED backlighting and some proprietary software, Samsung has produced some amazing LCD TVS.
